I just need help with something; this is not a post. Some of my comments are disappearing off of people's posts. Are they being edited out, or is this normal? Help, please!
When I started reading comments on people's post, I noticed some say "removed by author". I don't know if that means the author of the blog, or the author of the comment. However, I am not 100% sure what exactly is going on. I have noticed that some of the comments on my blog posts have disappeared too! Does anyone know?. . .
. . . You could try asking Mrs. Fletcher via email or blog if she can post them up. After all, she is the advisor, and I'm sure she has them saved somewhere in her computer'files'(I don't know the technical word!). Hope that helps out.
This has happened to me too. Just as a precaution I suggest taking screenshots of all your comments. At least that's what I'm doing to prove that I met at least the minimum.
Happened to me too, I just though it was the computer I was using but I guess not...I'm not sure what it is, I just figured those people I commented on deleted my comment.
Mine have come back, and I took screen shots of them as Carina suggested just in case this happens again. You guys should check to see if yours have re-appeared. I would still like to know why they disappeared in the first place. Maybe there was a glitch on the blog.
This happened to me also, but you should copy and paste your comments and blog posts on a Word document to be on the safe side. It will be helpful for Ms. Fletcher as well if you print it out and put it in your notebook when you turn it in.
Mine is still gone, and when it says "Your comment has been posted" It isn't even there so I post it again and then it ends up being there so many times I have to delete excess comments >.<
PLEASE don't print out your blog posts and turn them in with the notebook. I assure you I will just throw that in a pile and give them back to you. I deal with thousands of pieces of papers every year. Do not add to it by giving me unsolicited sheets of paper.
On the other hand, knowing the dates and titles of your posts, and the posts you commented on is a wise safety precaution.
Yes Mrs.Fletcher you can either Hide your existing comments or show existing and hide newer comments, but you cannot "delete" them permanently, just hide.
The thing I am wondering is why people can hide older comments. I do not think that is fair because I worry that some of our comments may not have been seen.
Some of mine are gone too, Kevin! If anyone knows, help would be appreciated.

ReplyDeleteThe thing is, though, that they are not removed by the author. They just disappeared out of nowhere.

ReplyDeleteWow, I've never heard this complaint before. Sorry you kids are having trouble.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute. You can delete each other's comments?
