Fame, do you really want fifteen minutes of it?

I found it astounding how Bernard’s way of thinking got turned around so rapidly and extremely as soon as he got swallowed up by fame. He began doing things he’d never done before, for example asking out girls left and right. At the beginning of the book he was furious at Henry Foster and some of the guys in his locker room for treating Lenina like meat. For treating her as if she had no feeling and existed purely for their pleasure. And Bernard turned around and did the exact same thing as soon as fame reached his fingertips. Helmholtz was ashamed of Bernard’s new personality after all they had been discussing. This book gives an excellent example of how sudden fame and fortune can diminish unique ideas and create sadness and loneliness. Bernard was left alone that night for trying to force John to help him win fame. He was using John, also, as meat. How has fame changed other’s lives? Think about Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, and Michael Jackson, They all became famous as children. Susan Boyle was completely unknown until she auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent. She became famous overnight, and eventually had a nervous breakdown.

  1. I think fame is enough to turn anyone's life around. Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, and others are perfect examples of stars that have become lost in too much fame. I think the problem with fame is that once someone has it they see themselves as being on top of the world and they start to lose their morality and integrity. Not only that but I think that at a point they start to become careless about what they do because they think that everyone will still love them and adore them either way.

  2. Although handful of celebrities can be considered to be in the category of weirdly-turned-out, many others use that fame, the money they earned, and the ability to be on the television to help people in need in communities and in other countries. For example, the classic couple Brangelina, Oprah. Also there is this show called "Danbi" in korea, where the celebrities go to third world countries to give families hope, houses, schools, and wells to people who are deprived of clean water.
I think Miley Cyrus is the example of someone who has a lot of fame by little girls and have become a little narcissistic, but i believe people like that are born that way, and they were and will be the way they are until...whenever.
Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan, I don't think it is the fame that messed them up; instead, it was the bad influence of the world with the drugs that messed them up. Just because they are celebrities, we make big deal out of them getting into troubles. But there are many teenagers who contaminate their body with drugs and alcohol. Not that I am accusing anyone, but I say we should look at ourselves before judging others. People are human and we are ought to make mistakes; it is important to let people close to us know what they do wrong and support them to get out of the mess they fall in.
