Oh Ford, Oh Ford. What would Postman say if he saw what I saw today?

I was on my way to San Francisco with my cousins;my turn came to drive.
So there I am, on the Interstate 5, when I come across a GMC Yukon driving at a low speed. So I decide I'm gonna pass him because I was starting to get irritated with his slow driving. So I pass him and look through the window and, Oh Ford! There he was, trying to text (I think), a laptop playing a Youtube video on top of the dashboard, and trying to drive! My goodness. Menace to the road, I tell you what. What would Postman say if he saw this? Watching a video while trying to drive. AND texting! Preposterous. This guy's attention span is disappearing faster than teenagers in a Jason movie. No consideration for the safety of other drivers. There's a time and a place for everything. Surfing through Youtube whilst driving is a big no-no. It looks like certain people can't handle technology.

  1. That is very Dangerous hopefully he got stopped later on. He could possibly kill someone because of his disregard to the law. What an idiot!

  2. This does not surprise me. Before, people would pull their car over to talk on the phone, but now technology is such a great part of our lives that it seems normal to many to text or watch movies while driving. I doubt that man even thought his actions were a safety hazard. Many people text 24/7. To them this is perfectly fine.

  4. Wow, that was ridiculous. On some levels I don not approve of what Postman says, but I am guessing this is what he is referring to, and in this case I'd have to agree with him. There are quite a few accidents that we have seen that involved a driver texting or talking on the phone. It makes me wonder how many less accidents would we have today if cell phones or laptops were not invented. Some people jsut do not have any consideration.

  5. yes this is rediculous. I have actually witnessed something like this myself. A guy had the little portable tv's that are ment for the passengers, in the front. He was watching it instead of focusing on the road. Another time i almost got ran over becauase this women dropped her phone in the middle of a call, she was atempting a left turn im assuming, with her head down by her feet. She rose up with the phone on her ear saw me and went crazy. she even redropped her phone. I hope she learned her lesson that night. I know i was scared. She left my heart beating super fast. I think theres a time and place for everything like you said. Im just super suprised he was on the laptop as well..thats like a joke. Too ridiculous.
