Do you think this campaign is mocking our mania? It is so over the top, it seems like satire to me. But maybe I'm out of touch. Besides the actual phone itself, there's an acknowledgment of the trivial nature of pop culture. The more we mock ourselves and try to out do ourselves, the crazier it gets. And then there's the part of me that thinks, What? $25 a month?
This advertisement is very ionic. (x I do think, in a way, the company was mocking the texting manias, yet doing their business at the same time. The funeral part in the beginning, I hope that is not true though.. O.O
I find this quite entertaining. I won't lie, I've never texted while in church but I have seen may people do so. The fact that many people can relate will keep them watching. Also, as Ms.Fletcher said, $25 a month?
