Kids! If you're near Staples, do me a favor
Staples is selling single subject spiral notebooks for a penny. There's a limit though, so I can never buy enough. Tomorrow I'll hit as many Staples as I can, but if you find yourself near a Staples and you have an extra 10¢ in your pocket, but them for me and I'll pay you back with interest.

I live a few minutes away from a Staples... Sure. I'll see what I can do.
ReplyDeleteSo... a one subject notebook cost 1 Cent... and you can buy ten? You want me to buy ten?
ReplyDeleteBuy a quarter's worth if they will let you. I'll pay you double!
ReplyDeleteRaul, I don't like wide ruled. If that's all they have, just pass. It's got to be college ruled.
ReplyDeleteQuarter's worth of college-ruled notebooks.
ReplyDeleteJe comprends que vous voulez que je fasse.
Je le ferai le plus tôt possible.
Sont nous bien entendu ?
Hey Mrs. Fletcher. I looked it up on Staples.com and they are all wide ruled and there is a limit 6 item limit for each person. But there might be some college ruled paper that some of the employees accidentally marked as one cent. You would be surprised how often that happens and how lucky my family is. Once my mom bought a perfectly good pair of Quicksilver pants for my brother for one penny at Macy's.
ReplyDeleteAucune voie! C'est stupéfiant!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Mrs. Fletcher. Just practicing my Francais.

ReplyDeleteyou have to click on the picture of the notebooks.
Il dit que vous devez faire un achat de cinq dollars d'abord.
ReplyDeleteYou have to make a five dollar purchase?
P.S. Erika, Desiree, Citlalli or any one else that was in French IV, please correct any mistakes I might have made if you read this, please.
I am so sorry. I speak not one word of French AND OH MY GOD I JUST KILLED A SPIDER ON MY SHOULDER.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I was distracted by a huge long legged thing walking next to my head.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Kylie, last year I was able to buy 25 college ruled notebooks and plunk a quarter down on the counter. It was an awesome moment. The colors were pink, black, yellow and red. I mostly use them with seniors because the juniors already have a mondo notebook.
Ugh! Raul, don't bother. They require a $5 minimum purchase before the penny price kicks in, and Kylie's right -- they were all wide ruled. And there's a limit of 6. I must have lucked into something last year.
ReplyDeleteThat happened to me once! A spider was crawling on my stomach. Eww, I hate them.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mrs. Fletcher, I saw. I went into the store.
ReplyDeleteMy mother got some for you. And sorry to hear about that spider.
ReplyDeleteRaul, one hundred apologies for wasting your time. I'll find a way to make it right.
ReplyDeleteMelissa: tell you mom thank you! Be extra good to her. I'm going out on round two tomorrow hoping to luck into some college ruled ones. Hope springs eternal.
Sarah, my daughter has always been very afraid of spiders, but she's out working on a farm right now and she has to toughen up. She told me that she's been looking at images of them online, reading about them, finding out their scientific names -- it seems to be working. She is able to brush them off of her without going into shock.
I'm pretty good with bugs and things. I can catch a bug and put it outside, even the big crazy looking ones. I just don't like to be snuck up on, and it is unreasonable for them to crawl up on me. I killed that one that was on me. We could avoided the carnage had she just kept a respectful distance.
I don't mind spiders. As long as they don't bother me, I don't bother them. But the occasional Arizona Recluse that finds its way into my house will meet a swift end.
ReplyDeleteMy mom also purchased some yesterday afternoon along with many other things that were on sale. Did you know that they are selling a pack of 500 sheets of paper for one cent?! Great price, but they only allow two per household and you need to send a rebate. I think its worth it though. 2 cents for one thousand sheets of printer paper!?!?
