As George Saunders has said in Brain Dead Megaphone Man, "There is no news" and he couldn't be more correct. The fact that this photo basically explains that there are more other important things going on in this world but we choose to focus on what's insignificant like following Lindsay Lohan's story against the court ruling of her drug arrest. The fact that it's so out there that it's resounding itself into 24 hour news when in reality, all we are going to do is just sit there. The oil spill however, is something we should definitely keep a look out for because it can affect us in the long run unlike following celebrities in their sob stories. I could definitely relate to George Saunder's view because technology is there but no one is seeing it as a crime. The best we can do is simply rant about it.
Kimberly, this picture was PERFECT for the topic, I noticed something similar earlier today while watching the news. The anchorwoman went from talking about a murder and a stolen vehicle to some video "spoof" with Wayne Brady and Mike Tyson. Does this video need to even be on television, better yet is it even news? News, has a completely new meaning than when it first came out.
