Subliminal Messaging(and the majority's ignorance to it)

When you were a child how many times did you watch The Lion King? How many Disney movies did you watch, period? Now that you're older have you begun to notice a certain type of pattern in it? Or have you become so accustomed you don't even notice? Disney may at first glance simply be a producer of your favorite movies and fond childhood memories but let's dig a little deeper. For example: Beauty and the Beast. Remember that flashback where they told the story of how the Beast became the beast? The prince guy regected her because she was ugly. He was told that he shouldn't judge people on how they look before she turned into a beautiful enchantress and cursed and hated him because he was so ugly. Not just an enchantress they said--but a beautiful enchantress. See what I'm saying? Also, notice how they treat that one dude's little lackey guy? They all treat him like crap because he doesn't meet the standards of the "handsome man." Nice pecs, sleek hair, etc. Of course they don't directly say it but it's definitely there. These themes can be seen in nearly every single disney movie. I have more examples of this and plan to get more in depth in the next post so respond please!
